Here are some of the activities from MOMcation 2011 so you can get an idea of what is in store for MOMcation 2012! We will be publishing the 2012 activities schedule as soon as sessions are confirmed!
Welcome Party – After dinner on Friday night, join us for a Lounge Party! (Lounge-wear suggested) We’ll spend some time getting to know each other, try out some wine, and do what moms do best – chat it up!
Hayride Tour – Heifer Ranch will provide us with a tour! This is your chance to see the nooks and crannies of the ranch (including water buffalo, camels, llamas, and other animal friends) and learn more about Heifer Ranch and Heifer International.
Book Discussion – We’ll be discussing When Did I get Like This? by Amy Wilson. This is a great book, packed with relevant, humorous stories about motherhood and how we learn to adapt. Click Here to learn more about the book and how to get a FREE copy!
MomsLikeMe.com Group Forum – We’ll sit down to talk about some of the common issues in motherhood – mommy guilt, managing friendships, and whatever else comes up. Behavioral Therapist Micki Pierce will facilitate the discussion.
Cooking Workshop – put on your fancy pants and join Christie Ison, the Fancy Pants Foodie, for some fun in the kitchen! Here’s her post about what she taught us last year.
Saturday Night by the Fire – Saturday night after dinner we will head over to the fire ring to enjoy a campfire and smores. It’s just the beginning of a night of silly fun reminiscent of our long-gone summer camp days. We’ll also fire up the Karaoke machine – your choice on whether to entertain or be entertained!
Group Walk – On Sunday morning we’ll energize you for your return home with a group walk. You can decide your speed as we enjoy the fresh air and the beauty of the ranch one last time.
Spa/Salon Services – Did you raise your eyebrows in surprise and excitement when you started reading this paragraph? Well, let’s start there, then. In addition to providing a Keratin Hair Treatment Makeover to one lucky MOMcationer (enter here), Ooh La La Salon will also be providing eyebrow waxing during the weekend!

Swaps and Take-Aways
In addition to the fun activities we’ll be doing at MOMcation, we’ve also got some ideas for sharing some goodies with each other. Participation is optional, of course!
Magazine Swap – Have some back-issues of your favorite magazines laying around? Bring them with you and trade them in for something new (or new to you, anyway). Any unclaimed magazines will be recycled.
Coupon Bin – If you’re a couponer, bring your unwanted coupons for the coupon bin. Leave some, take some, and share your love for saving some dough!
Book Exchange – For Jane Austin adorers and chick-lit lovers alike. Bring a book or two that you’re ready to part with and go home with a new bound friend.
Clothing Swap – We’ll have separate bins for women’s clothing, women’s accessories, boys clothing, and girls clothing. We’ll use the honor system to make sure everyone gives and gets fairly.
